Chef Fatt Dim Sum

This morning went to Chef Fatt Dim Sum for breakfast. I prefer this place more than Foh San or Ming Court. Tjis place have many varieties.

Chemor Sang Yu Claypot

Chemor is a small town situated in Perak North. There is a shop used to be very famous for Sang Yu Po (claypot ikan haruan). There were 2 shops (who are brothers) where 1 shop is along the road side (more famous) while the other was an air condition restaurant.

Because the place was taken back for redevelopment, the side shop has to be reallocate. I just found the shop after 10 years of reallocation. However, the food was not as good as it used to be. Their signature dish was sang yu po which has less fish (fish also not as fresh as before) as it used to be. The rest are ok but I totally forgotten to try the steam lala (also once of thier signature dish beside the pau siew yoke).

The time, I will try the other Woon Kee (Restaurant with air cond) to see if their standard has dropped or not. Hopefully I get disappointed.

Cameron Visit on 22 Feb 2007

Have you heard of Boh Plantations? Boh Plantaion is in Cameron Highland. I've been to their plantations for visit once with my Australian friends. If you happened to be in Cameron Highlands, don't forget to visit their plantations and see the tea plant.

No matter which road you are taking (if you're driving), do drop by at their tea gallery too and have a cup of fresh tea. Do bring along your camera as the view was very beautiful and the weather is cooling since Cameron Highlands is 6000ft above sea levels.

Next visit will be the strawberry farm. Cameron Highlands is the only place you can grow strawberry due to the cool weather. Not only that, you will have a chance to pick and pluck your own strawberry. Most of the strawberry farms grow vegetables and tomato too. Therefore, you will be able buy all the fresh vegetables too. Before I forget, remember to buy the Cameron Corn (also know as "Chan Chu Pau Sook" - Pearl Corn). Is a must as the corn was so sweet (steam for 3-5 mins) or you can even eat raw (to taste the sweetness).

As for foods, have you seen such a big frog? This frog weighs about 700 - 800grams. Some may even reach to 1kg (RM80/kg) and above. You can actually eat it but only available somewhere in November till February (depends if it rains a lot or not). This is a wild frog which lives up the mountain/hills. When it rains heavily, it will wash down to lower ground and the people will catch it a and sell it.

The size of the frog is as big as a chicken. Ways to cook, majority is steam and add a bottle of chicken essence. Do you dare to eat?

Note : Price may varies after such a long time.

Abondon Kitten Found on 30 March 2007

Near my office, there were 2 shop lots just started renovating yesterday. I guess the workers found 5 kittens inside the premises. The tiny kittens were left outside the premises (along the walkways) inside a box.

During lunch time, the kittens were lucky as there is an umbrella covering them & it was still there when I left home. Unfortunately, the umbrella is missing this morning and after lunch, sunlight falls onto them.

I pulled the box nearer to the shades. When I goes off duty, the kittens were under the hot sun (the shades is missing). I told my hubby that the kittens might die cos not sure if their mom feeds them or not. Secondly, they were under the hot sun (weather was hot too & without water)

My hubby went to my office &we pick up all the kittens and brought home. We will raise them till they are slightly older, stronger & able to find foods & release them back.

As for me, I've 4 dogs already and I'm not very fancy with cats. Meantime, I don't mind taking care of them as I really pity them. How I wish they are more people willing to adopt stray cats & dogs.

However the next day, we notice that
the kitten did not drink their milk. Under such circumstance, we have decided to take it to the vet for help. What you have to do is to pay certain amount of money to the clinic and they will take care of the abandon animals while waiting for people to adopt them.

We went to the vet to check out the kitten the next day & the veteran told us that her friend has adopted the 5 kittens as the kittens needs mother's milk (they were too young and mother's milk is required). One of the kitten's leg was was fracture/broken and we asked the vet if is able to save that leg.

The vet told us that tentatively, she applies some medicine and use bandage to band the kitten's leg. Hopefully, the leg is able to save & the kitten is able to walk normally.

Hermit Crab Died on 20 July 2007 - a migration post In Loving Memories

I feel so sad cos my Hermit Crab has died. Not sure what was the cause but I knew that for the past few days (almost a week), my Hermit is not eating. Hermit has been hiding in the shell & not active at all.

Yesterday evening, Hermit crawls out from the shell like wanted to leave the shell but not enough strength. Can see the abdomen and all legs plus clam also weak. I buried Hermit inside my flower pot.

This is how a Hermit Crab looks like without its shell. The abdomen is very very soft. Since it is dead, the smell is like a dead seafood.

The importance of Education

I stopped my blogging in 2008. Took my Degree in 2012 & studied for 4 years. After graduated, can't even get a raise, no promotion & no hay grade change. Guess time have changed so much unlike those olden days. Companies will tell you that you are lucky that you still have your jobs while other companies will preferred to hire youngster who are more energetic & multi tasking.

I used to tell my friend's kids to study & get a Degree at their early age rather than later like I do. When I first decided to go back to school at the age of 40 years old, I thought I have 16 years to work and would be able to get myself a better pay job since those junior hired by my company has a higher salary scale than me (graduate & non-graduate). The fact now is age discrimination which is happening every where (most probably too many graduates now). Experience is no longer a necessities as long as company can get cheap labors and able to do multi-tasking unless you are an Engineer.

Hence, a word of advise to those youngster, do get your Degree when you are young or a minimum entry level education. At least, when you are slightly financial stable, you can still able to continue your studies and don't drag for too long.

This Blog Kaam Tong (Shut Down)?

I was asked by a friend if this blog is going to closed down & the truth is Yes! My domain is going to end end of this December 2008. I don't think I'll renew it cos I really don't have much time to write.

Even though my Japanese Exam is over, sorry to say, I don't think I made it. I think I've failed my exam (result will be out in March). Well, the best part is I went to Honk Kong for Holiday just right 1 week before my exam. When I came back, I rested for a days & the next was my exam. Totally don't even understand what the question asked. Not only that, I self studied till chapter 15 but we are supposed to complete all the 25 chapters before we can sit for the exam. Hahaha.......

Anyway, I would like to say a very big thank you to all my readers for taking up their time reading my blog. Thank you so much. I would also like to wish all of you Merry Christmas (even though a bit late) & A Happy New Year.

May 2009 brings all of you good health, prosperity and good promotions. Well, thanks again.
