Required Medical Leave

I think I really have to take sometime off as I've yet to recover. Still having my cough & my sound wasn't clear. Can't even sing "Somewhere Over The Rainbow".

My boss asked me to go to Penang & look for a Specialist to get a second opinion & I told my doctor when I went for my medical check up yesterday. Dr Kathleen recommended Dr Michael, Respiratory Physician.

Since I still have inflammatory & have been coughing for so long, he has no choice but to start me off with Steroid, Prednisolone. I need to take 6 tablets in a day for 5 days & the 6th day, cut down to 3 tablets/day.

I told Dr Michael that I have gastric problem & he has given me Nexium to prevent any gastric or heartburn. I really hope by the 5th day, my cough will go away as I cough till I vomit again (almost everyday).

After taking so high steroid (Prednisolone), I have to cut down my Symbicort inhaler to 2 puffs in the morning & 2 puffs at night. If required to puffs, then go for it. Lucky, 4 puffs can last my day. Dr Michael told me that Nasonex is good for my sinus (nose block) and should use it daily even though is a steroid as only 1 spray per nose & each spray is only 50ug which is very mild dosage. I need that plus Xyzal in order to stop my sinus not only now but also in the future.

All this started due to my sinus problem (rhinitis allergy) which I must have inhaler something and cause infections & least to asthma attack. So, readers out there, do take care of your health too.

I kinda figured you are on Pred when I saw your post on the other blog. Did it give you any side effects from the Pred? Hungry, thirsty and feeling different in your personality. My dog, Ranger, is on Pred from spring to the early winter because of allergies. I really hope you will feel better soon. Please take care. It's ok if you don't blog, i won't kacau you anymore till you are back to your feet.
