Dictionaries

I really cannot remember how many dictionaries I've bought but I really likes to collect dictionaries.Just bought 3 dictionaries today. One Japanese Dictionary (where I'm learning Japanese language), Dictionary of Correct English Usage & Dictionary of Synonyms & Antonyms.

I also have a Penguin English Dictionary (kept in the office) & an Oxford Thesaurus. As you can see, my English is not very good especially grammars & vocabularies. Sometimes I also need to do some spell check. I'm not sure if anyone notice as my spelling sometimes uses British & at time US version.

Don't worry, I actually fully utilise my Dictionaries as needed during my blogging but I'm still short of two Dictionaries that is the Visual Dictionaries by DK & an Architect Dictionary.

Visual Dictionary is very useful as we may know how the thing looks like but just that we do not know what it is called. I need that kind of picture dictionary for my easy reference.

Hello Its Me, not to worry about your spelling or whatever. You're doing alright.
I too keep a dictionary and refer it to check on my spelling.
But the best way to improve our English is to read good books...read as many, as often, before going to bed certainly helps.
My wife passed only Form 5, and she reads a lot, and today at work, even her Orang Puteh boss ask her to proof read some writings, documents prior publishing.
And I too on and off have to ask her re grammar, ha ha.
Anyway, you're doing fine. Best regards, Lee.

Hi Trinity & Uncle Lee. Thanks for dropping by my site.
Not sure for what reason, I like to use Dictionaries in book form. What Uncle Lee says is true. If you read a lots of book, it helps to improve your English.
Why I hardly read books, well it will be in my next blog. Hehehe....

Yeah, reading does help a lot, but I'm lazy to refer the dictionary for the meaning of the unknown words. As you can see from my blog, my vocab is very minimal too.
