I feed my dogs with many types of foods like Addiction, Raw Dehydrated Food. Is a Holistic food, no additives and preservatives. I have bought 2 different types for them to eat before & my dogs love it. Just need to add some hot water to mix with it & I normally give them with their dog biscuits (dry foods).
Is very expensive compare to the canned foods. One month of supply for 6 cans of California Natural is only RM37.80 but Addition, Raw Dehydrated is RM69 or 79, can't remember as I've stopped buying. Too expensive for me as it is equivalent to 2 months supply of canned dog foods.For California canned Food, I normally give them either Chicken & Brown Rice or Salmon & Sweet Potato (extra supplementary). I tried before their dry food but some of them doesn't like it & some poo's very very soft & is very smelly (normal if your dog consume California Natural).
Now I've changed my canned food to Avoderm. I've tried Pinnacle (Trout & Sweet Potato) for dry & canned but my dogs is not suitable for it especially my beagle. Pinnalce is a Holistic Food which is actually good for dogs.
I only feed my dogs with 2 types of dry foods, that is Health Food which I've been feeding them for the past 4 years. Used to sell at RM168 but now promotion, is only RM120. The other is Back to Basic now selling at Rm160, I think. From RM120, the price has increase so much. I find that this 2 brands are very good as it suits my 4 dogs. So far (touch wood), I've been raising my dogs for 6 -7 years, none of them is sick except one time, Belle has fever (maybe I bathe her that time as she was shivering).

Since I'm from Ipoh,Malaysia I buy my dog foods at Pretty Pets, Ipoh Gdn South.
California Natural is good but the feaces is very smelly. I only give them wet foods mixed with dry.For California Natural dry foods, you don't need to feed a lot compare to others.
I also tried Innova before. If not mistaken, Innova is a Holistic Foods. Unfortunately, my Beagle is not suitable for it and I changed. Innove dog food is not cheap either but I can't recall how much.
As for me, I have to look for one or two brand of dog foods that is suitable for my 4 dogs.
You can try or get some sample before you purchase. If you see that the feaces is very very soft, then you have to cut down the amount of foods. If still soft, then you have to change.
oic..pretty pets got sell eagle pack holistic or canidae?i might wanna try those too since you said california natural poo is smelly.
If not mistaken, Pretty Pet doesn't sell Eagle Pack, Holistic. I tried this before & I got it at Hup Fatt. You know where Chung Kiaw Bank? Next to it, the corner shop. That was a very good food but have to drive all the way to town.
As for Canidae, I'm not very sure if Pretty Pets do sell or not. I don't think I've tried this brand before. Saw this brand somewhere before. You can check out the information at http://www.canidae.com/index.html
